However, first of all, you need to determine what your idea is - is it an innovation or an invention. In order to find out what an innovation or invention is, click the corresponding button.
INNOVATIONS
An innovation is a significant change in any area of social activity, aimed at achieving a positive effect and implemented in practice, i.e. it is something new that has been put into practice.
Thus, a new idea in and of itself is not an innovation unless the idea is translated into products, services, or processes that are put into practice. Only new ideas implemented in new products or processes constitute innovation. The objects of innovations carried out as a result of the introduction of innovations can be creative, technological, organizational and managerial, financial, social, environmental, legal and other areas. Innovations expand the range of goods and services produced, while improving their quality.
It should be kept in mind that innovations are not necessarily technical innovations. For example, innovations in the social sphere (working conditions, health care, education) can be the introduction of such innovations as the website of the President, microcredit or distance learning. In the marketing field, this is the introduction of a new effective marketing method that involves significant changes in the design or packaging of a product, its warehousing, transportation, promotion to the market, setting the selling price. Organizational innovation is the introduction of a new organizational method in the activities of the enterprise, in the organization of jobs or external relations.
INVENTIONS
If your idea is a solution to a technical problem in a certain area, and it refers to a product – a device, a substance, a culture of plant or animal cells, a strain of microorganisms; method, or in other words, the process of performing actions on an object of material origin using material means (technological process).
A patent is a security document that guarantees the protection of the exclusive rights of its owner to a specific technical solution. Having a patent gives its owner the right to prohibit virtually any unauthorized use of his intellectual property by others.
The right to legal use of inventions can be granted to other persons only on the condition of payment of remuneration to the patent owner (on the basis of a license agreement or a patent assignment agreement). Exclusive rights give the patent holder the opportunity not only to recoup the cost of creating a new solution, but also to make a profit over a long time due to the sole control of a certain market niche. To obtain a patent for an invention, it is necessary to submit an application for a patent to the authorized body – the Patent Office of the Republic of Tajikistan, which conducts its examination, i.e. establishes the compliance of the claimed solution with the requirements of patentability (novelty, inventive step, practical applicability).
If the result of the examination is positive, the Patent Office makes a decision to grant a patent, otherwise – a decision to refuse to issue a patent.
